Class Work for March 2025
I am taking a class from the Capital Photography Center called a Year in Photography. Each month a photographer associated with the center gives us an assignment which they introduce on ZOOM. We work on the assignment and share our pictures in the community forum the center has. At the end of the month we submit one picture for review.
For March we were told to take one of our pictures and to edit it, or re-edit using some of the new AI features of Adobe Lightroom. I chose the picture below.
This picture was taken in the “raw” format, meaning that what the camera sensor saw was saved directly to the memory card. I then enhanced it to improve the contrast and exposure. As you can see the heron is standing in front of a distracting branch so I used the Lightroom remove tool to get rid of the branch and a couple of other tools to get rid of other distracting elements.
